The Mistress of Spices
Happened to watch the Mistress of Spices last night with Gandhi, Chhillar and Pooja - supposedly as part of the treat for Chhillar having managed to land a job with JnJ Med. (supposedly since as of this moment, financing for the "treat" has been through my credit card") The treat began with dinner at Odyssey, a ship deck themed restaurant, where I tucked into some Lasuni Murg Tikka (which was pretty good), Grilled Fish with Romesco Sauce (which was decent fish in some mustard like paste) and some chicken tikka curry (not sure what the name was, but I did have the bulk of it, thanks to Gandhi and Pooja not being heavy eaters and Chhillar being vegetarians).
On a side note: I love people who are light eaters and also vegetarians – it means all that much more for yours truly.
Anyway, that too gets charged to my credit card before we headed off to PVR for Mistress of Spices. So, the movie bored everyone – the plot was way too deep for anyone to really care about it, and the only positive was that Aishwarya showed how a simple saree could look beautiful on her. I wouldn’t suggest this as a movie, unless you’re a die hard fan of Aish, and can get off on seeing her in a skimpy red bikini top.
