more on reservations

dost...
i have a slightly different opinion - my question is "who should be bothered about the quota's?" is it:
a) people who have already passed out of the colleges (alumni) where quota's will be implemented, and will not have to worry about giving an entrance exam for the rest of their life
b) people who are currently studying in these colleges (current students) where quota's will be implemented, and (few) might be considering a further degreee in another such college, for which they might have to take an entrance exam
c) people (school students and their parents) who are planning to take the entrance exams in the near future

my guess is that (as partly justified in the article you sent) the medico's actually fall into category (c), where they are planning on taking further entrance examinations in the near future - at the end of their degree, which would be about 2 years away. by this time the quota's would be in full implementation.

in my view, the people who should really be taking the street are school children of class 11 and 12 (and their parents). these are the people who are most affected by the quota, and are surprisingly silent.
